Leigh-on-sea Calligraphy Club Term Booking 2025
Book your space onto the Leigh-on-sea Calligraphy Club, hosted by Heather.
I am so completely thrilled to be back for another term of Calligraphy Club. This listing is to book the full term of my first 2025 dates. These will be held at the Leigh Community Centre, 7-9pm on the following dates:
11th February (room 8) - wine gift and wax seals
12th March (room 1) - flower wraps
New date to avoid school holidays - 2nd April (room 8) - Easter paper decorations
There will be a focus on dip-pen calligraphy for this term.
The discounted ticket price for the full term is £55
If you are unable to make all three dates, you can book individual sessions at £20 each.
The idea behind calligraphy club: After teaching beginners classes in the area for 7 years, there are so many of you who have said that you love calligraphy, but find it difficult to find the time to dedicate to your practice. So this is where the calligraphy club comes in! We will be getting together once a month in Leigh on sea. At each 2 hour evening session, you will have time to simply practise your calligraphy while getting on with your own projects, as well as creating a project set by me. My project will give you the opportunity to develop your skills and try new calligraphy techniques. You will need to bring your own black ink, penholder, and nib to each session. I will provide anything additional needed to complete the class project.
This class is suitable to anyone who has completed a beginners workshop with me or elsewhere. It is also suitable for more confident calligraphers who are looking to practise and improve their skill.
A snack will be provided but please bring your own drinks. Alcohol unfortunately isn’t permitted at the community centre!
